These are fabricated from Ivory Polymer - The Skulls are CARVED DEEPLY into the grips and then permanently colored a DEEP FLAT BLACK, so you never have to worry about it wearing off. They have the look and feel of  carved Elephant Ivory with carved skulls. 
They will age nicely - just like real ivory.
